Poor response forces BMTC to withdraw 8 HOHO buses

But what made the State-run transport withdraw the much-hyped branded service? Its Managing Director Syed Zameer Pasha said, “We have withdrawn eight buses on an experimental basis. The factor being less load. Four buses each from the Blue line and Orange line have now been added to the Vajra Volvo fleet, as strength on those routes have been good. We now hope that they will generate better revenue in the Vajra sectors.”

Withdrawn buses are now plying on routes 356C Blue line (Kempegowda Bus Station to Electronic City) and 333P Orange line (ITPL-Whitefield to Kempegowda Bus Station). However, buses introduced along with the Kendra Sarige, the Big 10 routes will continue as usual said BMTC officials.

Meanwhile, ten Volvo buses (five each) plying on two Kendra Sarige routes in a clockwise and anti-clockwise direction, with a frequency of fifteen minutes each will continue at present.

 BMTC has revised its route to include Shivajinagar and Shantinagar bus stations as well.
