'No Cabinet reshuffle'

Yeddyurappa, who was in the City to participate in the Vikasa Sankalpa Utsav, said that no minister of his Cabinet would be dropped, including independent MLAs who had been made ministers for supporting the BJP government.

“Varthur Prakash has been terminated, and the news has already appeared in the media. People know the reasons for dropping him from the Cabinet,” he said.

Public money for event

When asked why huge amount of pubic money was being spent on the Government’s function, Vikasa Sankalpa Utsav, he claimed that the BJP government was the first dispensation in the State to take the benefits of government schemes to about 1.25 crore people directly in just one year, and the Utsav would tell people how the State was moving ahead on the development path.

Later, speaking at Vikasa Sankalpa Utsav at Nehru Stadium here, he stated that he came to power unexpectedly, and he knew that power was not permanent.
“After becoming the Chief Minister, I am speaking less and working more. I will always be a servant of the people. It is the people who will certify my work, but not our opponents. I am striving  to restore the respect for people’s representatives through my hard work,” he said.
