Sibi, who won a silver in the Coommonwealth Youth Games last year, lifted 244 (103+141), way behind gold winner Irawan Eko Yuli 297 (136+161) of Indonesia. Sibi had lifted 259kg (112+147) in Pune.
Ketaki’s 141kg (62+79) effort was also nowhere near the winner, Chinese Hsu Shu-Ching’s total lift of 187kg (83+104). It was nine kg less than her best of 250 (65+85).
On Tuesday, national record holder Sukhen Dey had won a bronze in 56kg men’s snatch event with an effort of 109kg, though he finished fourth overall with a total lift of 241kg.
India are being represented by 16 lifters in the competition.
