JD(S) to go it alone in BBMP polls

Last Updated 17 June 2009, 19:16 IST

Speaking to reporters, JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy said his party has no plans for a pre-poll tie up with any party, including the Congress. The JD(S) is already making preparations for the elections, he added.

The City unit of the party has been asked to submit names of three aspiring candidates from every ward. The party chief H D Deve Gowda will shortlist the names and finalise the party candidates, Kumaraswamy said.

The former CM criticised the State government for squandering tax-payers’ money to organise Vikas Sankalpa Yatra. The Government is trying to mislead people by distributing colourful booklets, he alleged.
