Sohoni also heads the Council of Architecture, New Delhi. Officials here said a CBI team had been deputed from Delhi to carry out the search for violation of the Central government norms in running the institute.
Sohoni said the CBI team had been to his offices merely “to collect some papers.” In July 2008, the Goa government had sealed the IDEA campus on grounds that the institute was not recognised either by the UGC or the Goa University.
