Priya along with her three days old daughter had boarded the Bangalore bound train on Sunday afternoon when she was intercepted by police team led by CCRB Inspector K C Poovaiah. She and her daughter have been handed over to Devaraja police. PSI Chandrakala, constables N Mallikarjuna Swamy, Manjunatha, women PCs Rathna and Pushpalatha were a part of the police team, said a release.
Woman robbed
One more woman was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs 30,000 in the city on Sunday.
Mahadevamma, a domestic help was returning to her employer’s place after buying vegetables when she was relieved of her valuable on Ashrama road near Chinmaya Vidyalaya around 5.30 pm, by two bike-borne youths. Jayalakshmipuram police have registered a case. This is a third such incident in a span of three days, adding to the worry of the cops.
Gone with ‘wheel lock’
Close on the heels of a Bangalore car moving away with ‘wheel lock’ of city police, an autorickshaw driver has escaped with the lock recently. The auto had been parked on D D Urs road. A case has been registered. Meanwhile, Devaraja police have traced the car driver to Bangalore.
