Sri Vidyamandira High School’s Ajith, who had clocked 11.6 seconds in the opening leg two weeks ago, crossed the finish line 0.2 seconds faster this time for the boys’ under-16 gold. Rashtriya Military School’s Vivek Kumar was second in 11.6 while Prashanth Dwevedi of St Philomena’s High School took bronze after clocking 11.7.
Praneetha was once again the leader of the pack in the girls’ under-15 100M dash, sprinting home in 12.8 seconds. Semral Dinha K of The Best High School took silver while Serena Mary Abraham won bronze.
Praneetha also added the long jump gold to her tally with a leap of 5.5 metres.
