Chairmen and secretaries for 35 sub-committees appointed

In a press release here, he has issued orders appointing chairmen and secretaries for as many as 35 sub-committees in order to celebrate Dasara festival in a grand scale. All of them are asked to understand their responsibility and discharge their duty effectively and efficiently.

The chairmen and secretaries have to submit the estimated cost for conducting programmes of their respective sub-committees within two days. Besides, they should submit list of the total staff required for the committees. The high power committee had already floated tenders for works pertaining to Dasara festival and payment has to be made as per the rates fixed.

If the committees need to call for tenders the same thing should be brought to the notice of the special officer.

Gupta said they have already imposed restriction on wasteful expenditure and this needs to be kept in mind before taking any decision.  The cultural programmes in the palace premises would be held from October 8 to 15 for which director, Department of Kannada and Culture will be chairman, additional deputy commissioner will be working president and deputy director, Mysore Palace Board will be secretary.

For all the cultural programmes to be held at Kala Mandira and Ganabharathi from October 8 to 16, director, Department of Kannada and Culture will be chairman, vice-chancellor, Music University and assistant director, Department of Kannada and Culture will be incharge.

The Yuva Dasara will be held at Manasagangotri Open Air theatre from October 9 to 13 for which registrar (evaluation), University of Mysore will be working president and joint director, Department of Collegiate Eduation will be secretary.

The entertainment programme at Maharaja Grounds will be held from October 9 to 16 for which chief administrator, Cauvery Niravari Nigam will be working president and planning director, DUDC will be secretary.The poet’s meet, programmes and Kala Mandira and other venues to be held from October 11 to 12, deputy director, Kannada Developmental Studies will be working president and assistant director, Kannada Developmental Studies-secretary.
