Last Updated 16 September 2010, 11:08 IST

Saurabh Bhardwaj, who has been appointed Director, Public Sector (India) at Aurigo will drive this practice. Bharadwaj comes with over 10 years of experience in enterprise technology consulting across verticals such as Insurance, Telecommunications, Railways and Public Sector.

Tremendous growth

Speaking about this development, Balaji Sreenivasan, CEO and Founder of Aurigo Software Technologies, said, “India is growing at a tremendous pace, especially in terms of infrastructure development around roads, airports, ports and power plants.

The Indian government has allocated 46 per cent of the budget towards infrastructure investment (for the FY 2010-2011) which amounts to Rs 1,735 billion. This number will only grow over the next 8-10 years as India builds out its infrastructure in its serious bid to evolve as a developed nation.

“We have now established a separate public sector business practice in India to focus on the growing need for better control of infrastructure projects through real time and accurate information.”

Sreenivasan further added, “As infrastructure projects in India come of age, stakeholders need solutions from Aurigo as they increase project visibility, enable better executive decision making and provide real-time reporting with digital data.

“These are very critical to maintain these projects profitable, have them adhere to the highest quality standards and complete them in a timely and cost effective manner.”
