HC summons top officer

The petitioner GLIM had moved the High Court seeking direction to the Bangalore University to include its name in the seat matrix and conduct counselling for admission of students for certain PG courses.

Based on the local inquiry committee report and opinion of academic council and syndicate members, the State on June 21, 2009 had recommended for affiliation of the institute, for which the varsity had refused. Justice S Abdul Nazeer, who heard the matter, has directed the PS, higher education department to be present before the court.
