Julia Roberts wears 'automatic saree' in Eat Pray Love

The 42-year-old Hollywood superstar, who converted to Hinduism while shooting for the film in India, instead wore an 'automatic saree' which was especially made for her by costume designer Michael Dennison.

The actress wore a teal zari-laced silk saree in the wedding sequence of the film and found the traditional attire beautiful. "It was a one-set piece that had snaps and closures on it. Almost like a skirt and I could wrap it around me and snap it. It was beautiful," said Roberts in an interview to People magazine.

Julia's character attends an Indian friend's wedding during her stay at an Indian ashram in the film. The movie is based on the best-selling book by Elizabeth Gilbert and Roberts plays a recently-divorced woman travelling the world trying to find herself. The character visits Italy for food, India for spirituality and Bali, where she finds love.
