“Yakka” featuring Bharat Kalyan, son of yesteryear chocolate hero Kalyan Kumar, deals a deadly blow to the sentiments of hardcore Kannada film fans. Director Joshi is one of those “auteurs” who succeeds in bringing on an attack of migraine.
Responsible for story-screenplay-lyrics-dialogue and what not, Joshi hands over his overworked handycam to trusted lieutenants Chandru Belavangala and Stanly.
With “actors” assaulting the audience senses, a standard story turns into a nightmare. Music is efficiently ‘handled’ by M N Krupakar, who’s ‘inspired’ by a Sunny Deol-Sushmita Sen film or an Akshay Kumar - Katrina Kaif rock-o-rolla! This “yakka” is not worth any risk!
