Foreign funds have been investing heavily in the Indian capital market for the last four weeks, driving the country's benchmark Sensex over 11 percent higher. The FII pumped in $297.39 million Friday, taking total investment in Indian shares to $17.3 billion so far this year.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has gained nearly 15 percent this year, helped mainly by continued flow of foreign funds.
