The DJE&T’s decision has left thousands of students, who have currently been absorbed into various companies, in lurch. The future of the students hangs in balance as a majority of them are employees or doing their apprenticeship in industries.

Protest

The AIDYO would take out a massive rally in protest against the decision in Bangalore on September 28 and has asked all  affected students to support the agitation with their presence.

M Umadevi, president of the district committee of AIDYO told a press meet on Sunday that ITI students(Fitter and Electrical trades) from 1,207 colleges in State are awaiting results of July exams.

Students upset

The students are upset following DJE&T’s order to conduct re-exam. The decision of re-examination was taken due to question paper leakage at an examination centre in Hubli on July 27.

The DJE&T has decided to hold re-exam two months after the examination, which is unacceptable.

Lapse

Moreover, the lapse happened in one centre in Hubli and all other four centres there and across all centres in State the exams were conducted as per the rules. Hence, the DJE&T’s decision is irrational. The AIDYO will hold a mega rally protesting against the decision.

The rally would demand for immediate announcement of the results, action against the authorities responsible for lapses in one examination centre in Hubli, she said.

The students who wish to take part in the rally can contact 0821-2333849 or 9480182131.
