Two boys aged five years accidentally slipped in an open well in the agriculture lands while playing at Kokatnur village in Athani taluk and drowned on Thursday.
They have been identified as Adarsh Talwar and Abhishek Madiwal. The boys accidentally slipped into the well and drowned. The incident came to the fore after parents begun to search for them as they weren’t seen.
During the noon hours, the body of one boy was fished out of the well and another was being recovered.
Athani police have registered a case.
