The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday directed the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) Commissioner, Rakesh Singh, to take steps for the speedy disposal of cases against the agency.

Hearing a case related to the BDA, Justice Vineet Kothari expressed unhappiness at the agency and noted that its lawyers were delaying giving information.

Justice Kothari told Singh, who was present at the hearing, that the BDA's lawyers hadn't filed any objections in the case in the past four years. The lawyers often express helplessness, saying the higher-ups would not cooperate with them in filing the objections. The judge then asked Singh to find a solution to this problem. The BDA chief promised to take up the issue seriously and take all the steps for the speedy disposal of cases.
