Chief ministers Himanta Biswa Sarma, Vishnu Deo Sai and Mohan Yadav as well as former CMs Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj Singh Chouhan are among the members of the 27-member-committee.

The committee also has Union Ministers Arjun Munda, Bhupender Yadav, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Kiren Rijiju, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhupender Patel, Rajeev Chandrashekhar, and Smriti Irani.

Other members include Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, Vinod Tawde, Ravishankar Prasad, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Sushil Modi, O P Dhankar, Juar Oram, Tariq Mansoor, UP deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and Anil Antony.

A major promise of the BJP in 2019 was the setting up of a mission for tap water connections in all households and after coming to power it launched the ‘har ghar jal’ programme.
