Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 | Here's what the Maha Vikas Aghadi promises in its manifesto

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday released the Maha Vikas Aghadi's manifesto for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.

Kharge released the document in the presence of other senior MVA leaders like Supriya Sule and Sanjay Raut.

The BJP also released its manifesto or Sankalp Patra today, wherein it has laid out 25 promises.

The MVA has made multiple promises in its 48-page manifesto. Here are the highlights:

Women will receive Rs 3,000 per month under the Mahalaxmi Scheme

A socio-economic caste census to ensure fair opportunities and advocate for the removal of the 50% reservation ceiling.

Free travel on buses for women across the state

Unemployed educated graduates and diploma holders to get Rs 4,000 monthly stipend

Farm loans waiver up to Rs 3 lakh, with an additional incentive of Rs 50,000 for timely repayment, ensuring financial relief for farmers.

Health insurance coverage upto Rs 25 lakh per household, alongside free medicines in government hospitals.

Launch of Pink and Saffron Revolutions, providing support to onion and tomato cultivators.

Action plan to complete the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial at Chaityabhoomi at Dadar

Creation of exclusive industrial zones for women

Monthly waiver of up to 100 units on electricity bills for households consuming up to 300 units

Immediate announcement of timetables for Municipal Elections.

Recruitment for 2.5 lakh vacant state government jobs will be started immediately. Also, revocation of the order permitting contract-based employment in government services.

"MVA's manifesto highlights all inclusive growth and upgradation of rural and urban development and agriculture," Kharge said at the event in Mumbai.

Maharashtra will go to polls on November 20. Results will be out on November 23.
