‘Furnish details on immovable properties of govt depts’

The government departments should furnish details on immovable properties within a week. Strict action will be initiated for failing to furnish details in the meeting, said ZP President Sujatha Krishnappa.

She was speaking at a meeting on Standing committee on Finance and Audit. She said that the officials should furnish details in the meeting.

Speaking to DH, she said that the Forest Department officials failed to furnish details on the programmes of the department. In spite of the order to not plant acacia and eucalyptus, the department has planted the saplings. However, officials failed to furnish the same in writing.

The officials also failed to furnish details on timber depots in the district. The departments of sericulture, agriculture and horticulture were asked to furnish details on their immovable properties.

Even officials from the Women and Child Development Department failed to inform the meeting on various programmes of the department. The officials also failed to give statistics on property losses following heavy rain.

As officials failed to furnish details and several officials remained absent in the meeting, the meeting was postponed to Wednesday.
