Former Member of Parliament K Jayaprakash Hegde has said that he would contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Udupi-Chikmagaluru constituency if the BJP gives him ticket.
He was addressing a press conference during a private programme at Shivapura in Hebri on Saturday.
“I am a ticket aspirant and am confident that the party will consider my candidature looking at my capacity. I have been in constant touch with the voters and the party workers from Udupi and Chikkamagaluru,” said Hegde.
Speaking further, the former MP said that election was not the only way to serve the people, but if given ticket, he would contest.
