Farmers' protest news updates: Delhi Police asks nine farmer leaders to join investigation over R-day violence
The Editors Guild of India strongly condemned the filing of FIRs against senior editors and journalists for their reporting on the farmers' tractor rally and the ensuing violence here on Republic Day, saying it was an attempt to "intimidate, harass and stifle" the media. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and several journalists have been booked by the Noida Police and the Bhopal Police over the violence during farmers' tractor rally in Delhi. A total of 19 parties have announced a boycott of the first day of the Budget Session, expressing solidarity with the agitating farmers.
