100 lakes in state will be rejuvenated: Revanna

Public Works Department Minister H D Revanna said that Rs 23 crore was sanctioned for the development of roads in Dharmasthala and that the work is in progress.

Speaking at the Santha Sammelana, organised on account of Mahamastakabhisheka at Dharmasthala on Friday, he said that Rs 2 crore was sanctioned for installing high mast lamps at Dharmasthala.

“All the roads leading to Dharmasthala will be developed. As many as 100 lakes will be rejuvenated in association with SKDRDP under the direction of Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade in the state,” he announced.

Acharya Sri 108 Vardhamana Sagara Munimaharaja said: “Worldly pleasures will not provide solace in life. Non-violence, sacrifice, friendship and meditation will help an individual to attain peace of mind. The life of Bahubali is a message to all of us”.

Acharya Pushpadanta Sagara Munimaharaja said: “We should love and nurture nature. Mutual trust and love help in life”.

Hombuja Jain Mutt seer Devendrakeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji said: “Bahubali’s life teaches a lesson not to lose one’s humanity and wisdom to gaining power. Bhagavan Bahubali has shown the world that one can wage a war without possessing weapons,” he added.

Odiyooru Gurudevananda Swamiji said: “Sages help in the purification of society”. Madikeri Shanthamallikarjuna Swamiji said: “Desire brings misery”. Chennamma Deve Gowda inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp. Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade, Lalithakeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji of Karkala and others were present at the Sammelana.
