<p class="title">Karwar MLA Anand Asnotikar is certain to join JD(S) according to the party's state working party member Purushottam Savant. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Anand Asnotikar, a former minister, is slated to join JD(S) in Bengaluru in the presence of JD(S) state president H D Kumarswamy and its National President H D Deve Gowda on January 15. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Addressing the media Savant said, when Anand's father Vasant Asnotikar was an MLA in S Bangarappa's Karnataka Congress Party (KCP), the latter's son Madhu Bangarappa had tried to get Anand to join JD(S). </p>.<p class="bodytext">"That has now become reality," Savant added. </p>.<p class="bodytext">He expressed the confidence that in the upcoming elections, Anand's entry into JD(S) will augur well for the party; especially in the Karwar-Ankola regions.</p>
