<p>Bengaluru: Three days after his suspension was revoked, former Bengaluru police commissioner B Dayananda has been posted as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Prisons, as the incumbent Director General of Police (Prisons), Malini Krishnamoorthy, superannuated on Thursday.</p><p>As per the order issued on Thursday, Dayananda, who was awaiting posting, was appointed with immediate effect as the ADGP of Prisons in the downgraded post. </p><p>In a sudden turn of events, the government also revoked the suspension of Vikash Kumar Vikash, who was the Additional Commissioner of Police (West) and in charge of stadium security during the stampede, on Thursday.</p><p>His suspension wasn't revoked when the order for the other officers was issued, as there is a pending high court inquiry. Vikash had challenged his suspension before the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), which revoked the order and observed that the government should extend similar relief to the other officers. His suspension was also revoked along with Dayananda.</p><p>Apart from the two IPS officers, the government revoked the suspensions of C Balakrishna, then Assistant Commissioner of Police (Cubbon Park subdivision); and AK Girish, then inspector of the Cubbon Park police station.</p><p>Their postings weren't clear at this time. </p><p>The suspensions of all the officers were revoked pending the initiation of disciplinary proceedings, the order had noted.</p>
