Daily wagers found dead

The police have identified the deceased as Shivalinga (35), native of Channarayapatna and Hanumatha (34) of Davangere.

According to the police, they got drunk at a bar and picked up a quarrel with one Suresh over a bottle of rum. They reportedly made Suresh to pay for the drink. The police suspect that this might have led to the murder.

After the drink, Shivalinga and Hanumantha slept in an under-construction house where they were found dead on Wednesday morning. Their heads were crushed using concrete blocks.

The police have taken Suresh into custody.
