Hawala operator's house searched

“The house was searched and some documents seized last night,” a top CBI official said.
“He was the leader of the hawala operation and worked under the nickname Shamala Patel,” he said, adding that the wanted accused was currently missing.

The Mumbai CBI had taken the help of the local team in conducting the search operations, he said.

Another team would be arriving from Mumbai on Sunday to carry further investigation in the case, he said.

“We will be examining all documents and records minutely to find out more details,” he said.

He is the third hawala operator suspected to be involved in the case apart from Dhuk Singh Chuahan and Madan Singh who have been picked up, the official said.
