<p>Bengaluru: Two former contestants of Kannada reality show Bigg Boss have been booked for brandishing weapons on social media, the police said on Monday.</p><p>The suspects, Rajath Kishan and Vinay Gowda, both residents of Bengaluru, were arrested by the Basaveshwaranagar police. They will be produced in court on Tuesday," a police officer said. </p><p>A suo motu FIR was registered on March 30 based on a complaint from the station’s social media monitoring cell.</p><p>The FIR states that an 18-second Instagram reel, uploaded under the handle 'bujjjjii', showed Kishan and Gowda holding a machete, posing for the camera, and walking in public.</p><p>The FIR alleges that their actions created "an environment of fear and disrupted public peace".</p><p>The duo has been booked under Section 270 (public nuisance) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and relevant provisions of the Arms Act.</p>
