A total quantity of 796.18 gm of gold powder was mixed with other pasty material and was smeared between the two layers<br />of the innerwear, an official said. This is the second such incident where customs officials have stumbled on women smuggling gold in their innerwear.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Earlier this week, they arrested one Sakeena Shaikh, who tried to smuggle 853.4 gm of gold powder mixed with other materials hid in her innerwear. She was also a resident of Mumbai.</p>.<p class="bodytext">In another case, officials seized 1207.951 gm of gold from two passengers from Dubai on Monday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">During profiling, the custom officials recovered crude gold jewelry (24 Carat) concealed on the passengers’ body and in their hand baggage. The accused are residents of Salem in Tamil Nadu.</p>
