The Indian Institute of Human Settlements (IIHS) is back with its annual writings festival, City Scripts, and this time it is going online. Workshops, exhibitions, discussions and virtual walks are lined from February 25 to 28. The event aims to document how cities across the world have changed since Covid-19.
Among those featured in the festival are Sahitya Rani, C G Salamander, Gábor Doleviczényi, K Satchidanandan and other writers and academics. “We have virtual walks of libraries, and workshops on mental health, relationships and space. The event is an ode to how art and culture helped many of us through the pandemic,” says Rekha Raghunathan from IIHS.
Germany, Denmark, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Russia, Africa and Thailand are among the countries represented at the sixth edition of City Scripts. You can register for the event at cityscripts.iihs.co.in.
Founded in 2008, IIHS works from a campus in Sadashiva Nagar and offers courses in human devel- opment, governance, economic development, and environment and sustainability.
