BJP gearing up for local body polls

Presiding over the meeting, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa also called upon the legislators to ensure that the party emerges victorious in the BBMP polls.  At the meeting it was decided to hold seven conventions of gram panchayat coordinators appointed by the party across the state during April.

Party state unit President K S Eshwarappa said the first convention will be held at Davangere and Tumkur on April 3, at Mysore and Mangalore on April 4, at Belgaum and Hubli on April 7 and at Gulbarga on April 8. The conventions will finalise the party’s approach for the gram panchayat polls. Polls to 5,628 gram panchayats are due next months.
