<p>Hundreds of Congress workers took out a huge protest rally criticising RSS leader K S Sudarshan’s derogatory statement against AICC President Sonia Gandhi, in Hassan on Monday.<br /><br />The party workers from all the taluks descended near the party office from where they took out a protest rally on B M Road.<br /><br />The leaders, who addressed the gathering, charged that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh which came into being in the name of ‘patriotism’, was supposed to work for progress of the nation.<br /><br /> It proved its intentions through assassinating Mahatma Gandhiji. <br /><br />The RSS, which tells people to respect women, made unparliamentary remarks against Sonia Gandhi.<br /><br /> By doing this, it has proved that there is no connection with its speech and act. Need of the hour was to ban the RSS in the country.<br /><br />Former minister, B Shivaram led the protest. Hundreds of party workers raised slogans against the RSS and Sudarshan. Former MLA, M S Anand, D Mallesh, Mahesh, Lalithamma and Chandrakala were present.</p>
