<p>Sahana Pinjar began her journey in theatre as a child, performing with her uncle’s group. Their plays were often a response to pressing social issues like violence and dowry deaths—challenges that were all too common in the slum where she grew up.</p><p>Witnessing firsthand how theatre could influence people’s attitudes and empower them to take a stand left a lasting impression on her. Today, she continues to harness this transformative power through her own theatre group, Bhavaikyata Vedike.</p><p>With training from Ninasam and a degree from the National School of Drama, Sahana is redefining the role of theatre in small-town Karnataka. Through her workshops, she inspires young men and women to become catalysts for change in their communities and their personal lives.</p>
