Forest department looks out for tiger's pug marks

The Rapid Response Team of the Forest department carried out a search operation for a tiger on Thursday, which was spotted according to some people, in Oddugallu in Kiraganduru near Somwarpet.

Nithin and friends from Kiragandur village spotted a tiger on Tuesday.

The Forest Department was alerted and the R R team plunged into action. However, they failed to spot the pug marks of a tiger in the region. But the team member did find pug marks resembling a wild cat and hyena, DRFO Jagadish said.

Children in an anganwadi in the vicinity were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
