KSRTC bus crashes into tree, passengers safe

A KSRTC bus crashed into a tree at Kumbaragadike in Somwarpet taluk on Thursday, after the driver lost control over the vehicle.

The bus was bound to Somwarpet, on Madikeri-Surlabbi route. The incident occurred near a curve on a narrow road. A major tragedy was averted as the bus halted after hitting the tree.

Students were in majority in the bus. No casualties were reported. The villagers complained that the absence of sign boards at the curves was leading to accidents.
