Speaking to presspersons on Tuesday, he said Department of archives has decided to develop the temple. However, they do not have the right to purchase land. As a result, the Gram Panchayat should give additional interest. To a query on the denial of basic facilities to the residents residing in and around the temple for the several decades, DC said to provide alternative housing facilities, Gram Panchayat should think of making new layouts, constructing Ashraya houses in government land. “If Gram Panchayat sends any proposal, we can urge the government to release funds,” he said.

The district administration will try to provide suitable compensation to the residents residing in and around the temple from Tourism fund. Belavadi Gram Panchayat should take a decision on the future of the Belavadi residents at the earliest.
