<p class="bodytext">Mysuru, dhns: A team of Forest department personnel rescued a male elephant, said to be around 35-years-old, which attacked vehicles, damaged crops, and posed a threat to life and property at Vaatepura near Parvathamma Hill in Alur taluk, under Hassan wildlife division, Hassan district, on Saturday. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Under the guidance of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) Subhash K Malkhede, APCCF (Project Elephant) R Manoj, Conservator of Forest, Yedukundala, the operation was taken up by DCF Saurab Kumar, District Elephant Task Force of Sakleshpur, ACFs; veterinarians Dr Chettiyappa Dr Wasim and Dr Mujeeb.</p>.Karnataka: Encroachment of forest, rising elephant numbers aggravate man-animal conflict, says Khandre.<p class="bodytext">Elephants Dhananjaya, Sugreeva, Bheema, Kanjan, Ekalavya and Mahendra participated in the operation.</p>
