Mandya FDA attempts suicide in SP office

A woman first division assistant (FDA) working at the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) in the city, attempted to commit suicide in her office itself, on Friday.

Kamalamma (58), the FDA, was suspended by Mandya SP G Radhika for dereliction of duty recently.

Kamalamma attempted to consume poison at the office. But she was prevented by her colleagues and rushed to the district hospital. She was declared to be out of danger at the hospital.
