Miscreants set fire to Congress office in Yadgir, materials worth Rs 5L burnt

Yadgir: Miscreants have set Congress office on fire by pouring petrol on the door and windows. The materials including air conditioner, sofas and chairs worth Rs 5 lakh have been burnt. The incident took place on Saturday, and no one was injured.

A white 20-liter can was placed on the table in the office premises situated at Kanaka circle and this has led to many suspicions.

The staff member of the party office came to know about the incident in the morning and informed the police officials who conducted thorough inspection by visiting the spot.

The district Congress president Basareddy Anapur has filed a complaint at the city police station. Yadgir MLA Channareddy Patil, and other Congress leaders have also conducted an inspection.
