Panel to keep tabs on govt schemes

The State government has constituted a committee headed by Law Minister T B Jayachandra to monitor implementation of its programmes.

Legislator K Sudhakar (Chikkaballapur), Pramod Madhwaraj (Udupi), Priyank Kharge (Chittapur), K B Prasanna Kumar (Shimoga) and M P Ravindra (Harapanahalli) have been appointed as members of the committee.

From the officials’ side, V Ponnuraj, the Commisioner of Survey, Settlement and Land Records Department and R Manoj, Additional Secretary, Cooperation Department, are the members of the committee. The panel will have to submit its report in three months.

The government also proposes to set up a centre for administrative reforms and training, sources said.
