The Forest Department officials on Sunday arrested five people attempting to poach at Bhuvangala forest area near Somwarpet.
The arrested people are M E Changappa, K J Lathesh, D B Bopaiah, B E Uthaiah and Devaraj.
The police have seized three rifles and a jeep from the arrested. The arrested was produced before the magistrate who remanded them in judicial custody.
