Public consultation meeting

A disaster management plan is being chalked out under the Comprehensive Kodagu Spandana project, by the district administration, Zilla Panchayat and the Unicef.

ZP CEO K Lakshmi Priya said that a gram panchayat level meeting will be convened to discuss the project with the public. Public opinion on tackling flash floods and landslides in the future will be taken into consideration.

The meetings will be held at Galibeedu (Feb 21), Made, K Nidugane, Makkandooru (Feb 22), Bettageri,
Kundacheru, Bengooru (Feb 23), Kanthooru-Murnadu, Mekeri, Hodduru (Feb 25), Garvale, Madapura (Feb 26), Mullusoge, Koodumangaluru, Koodige (Feb 27), Nellihudikeri, Guddehosooru (Feb 28), Shanthalli, Aigooru, Gowdalli, Tholooru-Shettalli (March 1), Valnooru-Tyagathooru, Chettalli (March 2), Kedakal, Kambibane, Kodagarahalli (March 5), Chowdlu, Gowdalli (March 6), Sampaje, Hebbale (March 7), Belooru, Maragodu (March 8) and Hanagal (March 10).
