Relocate tombs at Datta peetha, says C T Ravi

Chikkamagaluru: "To permanently resolve the Datta Peetha dispute, the fake tombs at Datta Peetha must be relocated", said MLC C T Ravi.

Speaking to reporters in the city, he said, "We have always maintained that the Banabuden Dargah is different from Datta Peetha."

He emphasized that the tombs were created at Datta Peetha with the intention of Islamization. This creation is documented in the 1934 Gazetteer. Therefore, he insisted that the tombs should be relocated to the site of Banabuden Dargah.

"In 1974, a Gazette Notification was issued without prior verification. As a result, Hindu temples, monasteries, farmers' lands, cemeteries, and schools were included in the Waqf Board. The property of Datta Peetha was also included in the Waqf Board. However, we have approached the court. Hence, the government should re-examine the 1974 notification. Only land donated can be included in the Waqf. Other properties should be maintained as per the original records," he said.

The state government is planning to build 100 houses for the victims in Wayanad, Kerala. Without addressing the hardships of the state's people, it is planning to construct houses in Wayanad, Kerala. He remarked that it is not appropriate to extend help just because it is the constituency represented by Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
