<p>Kalaburagi: Thousands of devotees paid their last respect to the 8th Peetadhipathi of Sharanabasaveshwar Samasthan Dr Sharanabasawappa Appa who died due to age-related illness here on Thursday night. </p><p>The mortal remains of Appa were laid to rest, with full state honours, in the Sharanabasaveshwar shrine complex in the presence of the family members.</p>.<p>Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge, state BJP president B Y Vijayendra paid their final tributes to the spiritual leader and educationist.</p>.<p>Business establishments surrounding the temple were shut as a mark of respect to Dr Appa.
