<p>Mysuru: Three nursing students of Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) drowned at Meenakshipura village in the backwaters of Krishnaraja Sagar Dam in Mysuru taluk on Sunday.</p><p>The deceased have been identified as Krishna (21) of Haveri, Prashant (21) of Anivalu village in Periyapatna and Siddesh (22) of Santhemarahalli, Chamarajanagar.</p><p>According to the police, all the three entered the water around 1.30 pm and drowned in the deep waters as they did not know how to swim. The three students were said to be doing their second year nursing course.</p>.Over 2.3 lakh dog bite cases, 19 rabies death reported in past six months in Karnataka.<p>The bodies were retrieved with the help of the Fire and Emergency Services personnel and expert swimmers. The bodies have been shifted to the mortuary attached to K R Hospital in Mysuru for post mortem. A case has been registered at Yelwal police station.</p>
