Two suspected Nipah cases surface in M'luru

Two suspected Nipah patients have been admitted in two different hospitals in Mangaluru.

The throat swab samples of the patients have been sent to Manipal Virus Research Center (MVRC) for testing.

The report is expected by Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.

Once the MVRC report is out, it will be sent to National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune for confirmation, said District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Ramakrishna.
