<p>Hyderabad/Mumbai: Murali Naik, a 23-year-old Armyman from the tribal hamlet of Kallithanda in Andhra Pradesh’s Satya Sai district, died in firing by Pakistani forces along the Line of Control on Thursday night.</p><p>Although Naik's family originally hails from Sri Satyasai district, his family resided near the Chitra Dairy in Kamraj Nagar in Ghatkopar East area of Mumbai.</p><p>His father Shriram Naik was a labourer while his mother Jyoti was a homemaker.</p><p>Unmarried, he had joined the army as an Agniveer a few years ago. According to Senior Police Inspector Rajesh Kevle, who heads the Pantnagar police station, Murali joined the Army in 2022. </p><p>He was recruited in Deolali in Nashik district and after completion of training he was posted in Punjab and then in Jammu & Kashmir.</p><p>Reports indicate he was deployed to the LoC just days ago following escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. </p><p>Murali's mother was inconsolable when his higher ups informed the family of his death. He assured the bereaved family of the state government's unwavering support. While acknowledging that no words could ease the pain of losing their brave son, the Chief Minister urged the parents to remain strong during this difficult time.</p><p>Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay also expressed grief over the jawan's death, stating that Murali Naik's supreme sacrifice would be remembered by the entire nation. </p><p>Bandi Sanjay spoke with Murali's father, Sri Ram Naik, offering condolences and assuring him that the central government would provide full support to the family in every possible way.</p>
