Two girls injured in militant firing

 The incident occurred 10 days after two sisters were killed allegedly by militants in Sopore.
Police said the militants resorted to indiscriminate firing at the house of Mohammad Akbar Lone of Wangoora. His daughters- 16-year-old Shaista and eight-year-old Momina- were injured.

The firing created panic. The militants managed to escape from the scene. The nieghbours rushed to the house and shifted the injured to hospital.

Deputy inspector general (DIG) of police north Kashmir Munner Khan told media persons that one of the attackers has been arrested, while a hunt has been launched to nab the other.

He refused to divulge the  details saying it would hamper the process of investigations.  No militant group has owned the responsibility for the attack.
