<p>New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday flagged off 3 Vande Bharat Trains viz- Ajni(Nagpur)-Pune Vande Bharat , KSR Bengaluru-Belgavi Vande Bharat & Shree Mata Vaishnodevi Katra-Amritsar Vande Bharat Trains from KSR Bengaluru Railway station. </p> <p>With these additions, the total number of Vande Bharat trains in the country will rise to 150 (75 pairs) , Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw posted on X. </p> .<p>The commercial services for the three trains will start on Monday, sources in the railways said. </p> <p>According to railways, the public response for these trains are very good as most of trains running 100 per cent occupancy. </p> .PM Modi flags off three Vande Bharat trains in Bengaluru; disruptions hassle passengers.<p>As of now, among the existing 72 Vande Bharat trains, the Delhi-Varanasi route covers the longest distance of over 750 km, while the Tatanagar-Brahmapur train has the longest travel time at nine hours and 25 minutes. </p> <p>At present, these trains covering 24 States & Union territories, offering safe, comfortable and fast travel to its passengers. Indian Railways plans to introduce 200 plus Vande Bharat Trains in the next 3 years, the railways said in a statement. </p> <p>Of the launched 3 trains on Sunday, the Ajni (Nagpur) -Pune Vande Bharat will take 12 hours—the longest for a chair car train in India. This will be an eight-coach train.</p> <p>Ajni(Nagpur) - Pune Vande Bharat will be 12th Vande Bharat Express in Maharashtra. </p> <p>Both Nagpur and Pune are fast developing mega cities with multiple small & medium industries, educational & medical institutions, places of historical and tourist interest etc.</p> <p>So far, to complete the nearly 900 km journey between Nagpur and Pune, Duronto Express is the fastest train on this route, taking nearly 13 hours.</p> <p>The new Vande Bharat will start from Ajni station, about 3 km from Nagpur railway station, on the Delhi-Chennai line.</p> <p>The first Vande Bharat train was inaugurated by PM Modi in 2019. While the government had planned to inaugurate 75 Vande Bharat trains during the 75 weeks of the Amrit Mahotsav by August 15, 2024, the ministry achieved this ahead of August 15, 2025.</p>
