Over 60 tattoo artists and hundreds of tattoo lovers are taking part in the three-day convention that kicked-off in Kathmandu on yesterday.
Tattoo artists from Nepal, India, UK, US, France, Germany Greece, Thailand, Sweden and Italy are taking part in the tattoo convention with a view to popularise the art. India's world record holder in tattoo Guinness Rishi, 70, who has painted flags of 305 countries and maps of 185 countries all over his body, was among a dozen Indian artists taking part in the convention.
In addition, he has also written 2,985 characters and the slogan "Lets unite against terrorism" in ten different languages all over his body.
"The main purpose is to bring positive thinking towards tattoo culture and to boost tourism through the art, said Bijaya Shrestha, working for the Nepal Tattoo Pvt.Ltd. the main organiser of the event.
