Australia registered their fourth win of the tournament as Sri Lanka succumbed to a 87 runs defeat. Aaron Finch blasted his way to a mammoth 153 and his innings along with Steve Smith's 73 and Glenn Maxwell's quickfire unbeaten 46 propelled Australia to 334. In reply, Sri Lanka started strongly as the massive opening stand of 113 runs between Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Perera set the tone of a successful chase. But a brilliant bowling spell from Mitchell Starc and Kane Richardson pegged Lanka back and the promising chase ultimately fizzled out at 247
